Procedures and time frame of residence by investment in Namibia

Applications for Namibian residence are completed in line with existing laws and regulations as applied by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security. They can be submitted through an easy online portal and must include completed application forms. Applications should be accompanied by the appropriate fees and supporting documents.

Successful real estate investors receive a five-year, renewable work permit. Investors can only work for their own private companies and cannot be employed in any other jobs in Namibia.

After seven years of retaining their investment, they become eligible to apply for permanent residence in the country.

The processing time is three months from submission of the application to approval.

Requirements of the Namibia Permanent Residence Program

To qualify for residence, applicants are required to purchase real estate with a minimum value of USD 365,000 at President’s Links Estate. Retirement units starting at USD 300,000 are also available for investors aged 60 and above.
