Program Summary
The Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program was made and started by the government in 2012. The program is appealing to applicants seeking alternative citizenship through acquiring desirable properties or by contributing to the islands’ National Development Fund. Investment
Basically there are 2 types of investment options in this program: donation
and real estate investment. In both case, it has a minimum investment amount.
For donations minimum investment is USD 230,000
For real estate minimum investment is USD 300,000
Donation: One can have 2 types of option to participate on the program by
donating investments, which are given bellow.
A contribution to the National Development Fund of a minimum non-refundable amount of USD 230,000.
A contribution to the University of the West Indies of a minimum non-refundable amount of USD 260,000.
Real Estate Investment: There are 2 types of option also available to participate
on the program by investing on real state, which are given bellow.
The purchase of real estate with a minimum value of USD 300,000 from an
approved real estate project. Two applicants can make a joint investment with
each applicant investing a minimum of USD 300,000 in order to qualify. The
real estate cannot be disposed of within the five-year period
The direct purchase of an eligible business for a minimum amount of USD 1.5
million as an individual. Alternatively, a joint purchase where each person
contributes at least USD 400,000 totaling a minimum of USD 5 million
Processing time
Processing time is 4-6 months for getting a passport from the application began.
